Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook has always believed in strict security. Earlier, it was reported that Facebook spent over $16 million for giving protection to him from ‘specific threats’ from users and other sources.
There were also reports about Zuckerberg hiring 16 bodyguards for for protection. Now, there is another security measure which the CEO personally follows.
Mark shared a photo on Facebook celebrating Instagram’s 500 million monthly user milestone. Some people having an observant eye noticed something else in the picture. One keen observer named Chris Olson tweeted this!
3 things about this photo of Zuck:
Camera covered with tape
Mic jack covered with tape
Email client is Thunderbird pic.twitter.com/vdQlF7RjQt— Chris Olson (@topherolson) June 21, 2016
He wrote “3 things about this photo of Zuck:

He noticed a MacBook Pro which was lying in the background. Well, this MacBook Pro had its microphone and webcam covered with tape. Take a closer look!

Yes, there have been several incidents wherein hackers have completely taken control of these webcams and have made use of them for spying and creating troubles. Same is the case with microphones. This is a very good security step that Zuckerberg has taken. This security measure of his would surely render the efforts of the hackers useless. When the image and sound is physically blocked out, there is no risk at all. Even experts say that when cameras are covered with tape, it prevents hackers from capturing or watching your live visual feeds.
Then last one is Email client Thunderbird. Thunderbird is free & open source email client by Mozilla. Open source means its code is freely available on Internet and you can customize it or re-write code as per your need. It is one of the most secured and highly customizable email clients. You cannot customize other email clients such as Outlook. By using Thunderbird, he is making sure no one tracks/reads his emails.
