Yes, Aditya Verma, the secretary of Bihar Cricket Association says that MS Dhoni resigned as the captain of ODI and T20 captain under pressure.

Verma said that Dhoni was very hurt because Amitabh Choudhary, the joint secretary of BCCI pressurized him.

According to Verma, Choudary called MSK Prasad, the chief selector of BCCI on 4th January evening and asked him to check about the future plans of Dhoni after Jharkand lost to Gujarat in the semifinals of Ranji Trophy in Nagpur.

Reports say that

“Choudhary was unhappy with the fact that Jharkhand lost to Gujarat despite being in a commanding position under Dhoni’s mentorship. Choudhary then telephoned MSK Prasad and instructed the latter to ask the cricketer about his future plans. Dhoni was hurt with the whole episode and sent across his resignation soon after.”

Verma put allegations that the differences between Choudhary and Dhoni cropped up because Captain Cool refused to play for the semi-final game.
