Comedy Nights Bachao has been slammed time and again for its “Roast-format”. Yes, the makers have always faced ire of social media and celebrities for this reason. This roast format and funny statements of the show hasn’t gone down well with many of them. Remember how Tannishtha Chatterjee had left the show half way since she couldn’t tolerate those racist jokes on her dark complexion? In fact, many celebrities prefer not to come on the show to promote films, rather than coming and being roasted!
Once again, the show received another setback when John Abraham slammed the format of the show and walked out midway. He was extremely angry with Krushna Abhishek and was not at all happy with the jokes. Although Krushna and John are good friends, the actor couldn’t take it.
Finally, it seems that the makers have realized that what they are doing is wrong. According to reports by Spotboye, the writers got a message from seniors to stop writing such scrips that roast celebrities. Moreover, the seniors also wrote sternly that “Enough is Enough”

“We had no intentions of hurting John, but the situation really got out of hand. Four writers pen this show, and this is the doing of one writer I really don’t want to name. I wouldn’t blame Colors for allowing such stuff to go on screen, but it is our Creative Head-director Nikul Desai who looks into every aspect and makes changes. This time, he did not change the lines which hurt John.”
Now, if the reports turn out to be true and if the roast format is going to be stopped, we hope that the show would do well and won’t offend celebrities any more. Let’s hope for the best.
