Man Complains Of Traffic On Twitter, Delhi Police & Gurugram Police Started Fighting & Blame Game

Social Media has become so important nowadays that even the government departments have made themselves available online in order to communicate in a better manner with the public. The police departments of various states have also joined the micro-blogging site and they often post memes or humorous posts in order to warn criminals and tell the public about their rights and duties.

However, on Friday, something unpleasant happened on Twitter and Delhi Police and Gurugram police were seen playing blame games.

It’s an open secret that heavy rains bring life to a halt in Delhi and NCR and traffic jam is a common thing in this situation.

One Twitter user made a complaint to Delhi Traffic police and Gurugram police about being stuck at NH 48 in front of ambience mall for one hour and asked for help.

He wrote, “Stuck for last one hour at NH 48 in front of ambience mall. Please help”

Delhi traffic police soon responded, stating that the area doesn’t come under their jurisdiction and the complaint has been forwarded to Gurugram police.

The tweet read, “Thanks, matter is out of Delhi Police jurisdiction so your complaint is being forwarded to @gurgaonpolice for taking necessary action.”

Gurugram police shifted the blame back on Delhi traffic police by telling them to deal with the traffic at Rajokri flyover which as per them was the reason of traffic jam at NH48.

It wrote, “@dtptraffic Plz clear your traffic over rajokri flyover. This is resulting in serious traffic congestion in Gurugram.”

This Twitter banter ended as Delhi Police said that the staff is present on the location to handle traffic:

But Twitterati didn’t seem to like this kind of behaviour and slammed both the departments:

Blame game:

What an applauding work! (Satirical)

You don’t care about sufferings of others and are confused even about your area:

Everyday story:

Whatever may be the issue, both the departments should have shown some interest in helping the public rather than playing the blame game. They must be careful of their conduct in public and social media and show more responsibility towards their work. What do you say?
