The world is full of weird people who become weirder when they get obsessed with social media sites. We all know that the number of likes or reactions on one’s posts or photos states the level of popularity enjoyed by that person. But there is a limit to everything and nobody has the right to play with the life of any person in order to get famous on social media.
In a strange incident, a court sentenced a man for two years because he hanged a baby out from a window and he did all this just to get 1,000 likes on his Facebook post.
The person, whose name has not been disclosed, clicked a photo of himself while he was holding the baby from clothes from a high-rise building and posted on Facebook with caption, “1,000 likes or I will drop him”.
A number of social media users called police, complained about the man and asked the cops to arrest him for child abuse. The Algerian police arrested the man under the charges of putting the baby in danger.
As per Al Arabiya, the man hanged the baby from the 15th floor but the man is alleging that the photo has been altered by social media users. He stated,
“The picture was taken in a balcony with protective barriers. These were removed.”
Father of the baby also pleaded the court to release the man as he was “just playing a game.” But the judge found the photo absolutely clear and sentenced him two years of jail.
This is definitely one of the weirdest and very dangerous incidents that we have come across. It undoubtedly raises a question on the existence of humanity!
