A man from Gujarat named Mohammed Abubakar, aged 29, was arrested on Monday since he forcefully took a selfie with an air hostess on a Jet Airways flight from Dammam-Mumbai. Further, reports also say that he violated the rules of the aircraft and smoked in the toilet. He was arrested after the flight landed at the CSIA airport in Mumbai. The air hostess in her complaint mentioned that
“I was walking on board when the passenger (Abubakar) caught my hand and said ‘Chalo na yaar, ek selfie lethe hai’. Despite objecting, he repeatedly misbehaved with me during the journey.”
Basically, the air hostess sensed that someone is following her and when she turned back to see, she found Abubakar there. When Mohammed asked her for a selfie, she just turned away. Later, after the air-hostess took her seat, Mohammed continued standing there.
The air hostess further adds “He crossed the limit by grabbing me by the shoulder and forcefully taking a selfie”. As soon as the air hostess raised her voice, some cabin crew members reached there. V S Pawar, a sub-inspector says
“Seeing them, Abubakar went to the toilet. He came out after smoking in there. The crew warned him and asked him to hand over his cigarette packet and lighter,”
Now, they are also investigating as to how Mohammed cleared the security check when he had a cigarette lighter. The sub-inspector added “By smoking on board, he endangered several lives. His mobile phone has been seized and will be sent to the forensic sciences laboratory (FSL).”
