Sunil Gavaskar is one of the legendary cricketers that India has produced but the IPL 2020 has not been so good for him. Even if you are not following the tournament, you still must be aware of the controversy that erupted due to a statement given by Sunil Gavaskar when he was doing commentary in a match in which Virat Kohli performed poorly.
Even though Gavaskar said nothing objectionable, the controversy took place because his statement was twisted on social media networks and presented in a way to make it look unpleasant. In fact, Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma also lashed out at him without even checking the authenticity of the social media post. Eventually, Gavaskar made it clear to everyone that he did not say anything wrong and he blamed no one either for whatever misunderstanding happened.
Recently, Sunil Gavaskar was mocked by a Twitter user who made a comment in regard to his height but Indian cricketer Sheldon Jackson ensured that the Twitter user learns a lesson for the lifetime.
Sunil Gavaskar who is also known as Little Master was a part of the pre-match show before Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Kings XI Punjab in which he was talking about cricket with former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen and anchor Neroli Meadows. During the show, Sunil Gavaskar was standing between KP and Neroli and they both are pretty tall in comparison to Little Master.
Take a look:
It was then that a Twitter user wrote, “Sunil Gavaskar looking so small” which didn’t go well with the Saurashtra cricketer Sheldon Jackson.
Sheldon slammed the online user by talking about the achievements made by Sunil Gavaskar and also asked him to spread some positivity instead of negativity.
Sheldon tweeted, “May be in height, but look what he has done and achieved for the country, not many tall men could achieve. You’re a cricket fan as of what I learn n see from your tweets there’s already a lot of negativity, try to spread a little positivity please”.

The online user was also quick to react as he realized his mistake and he not only deleted his tweet but also apologized.
Sorry bro, no intentions to degrade Sunny G, absolutely he's an all time great of the game and neither wanted to put it as a negative troll. Apologies, deleted too. Thanks!

There is no denying the fact that Sunil Gavaskar is one of the best cricketers of all times and if we talk about the statistics, he has 34 centuries in his name in the test cricket which is certainly a big thing. Sunil Gavaskar is also one of those few cricketers who have scored more than 10K runs in the longest format of the game (125 matches) while in ODIs, he has scored 3092 runs in 108 matches that he has played.
Well done Sheldon Jackson!
