India is indeed a secular country but there are some shameful incidents which make us think, “Is India really free?”

One such incident is about a VHP member who refused to travel by Ola Cabs as the driver was Muslim. Yes, you heard it right!

Abhishek Mishra from Lucknow who has a verified Twitter handle and who is followed by ministers like Dharmendra Pradhan and Nirmala Sitharaman, left a tweet which made everyone fuming with anger.

He claims to be a Hindutva thinker. He tweeted that he booked an Ola cab and cancelled it because the driver was a Muslim and because he didn’t want to give his money to Jihadis.

Here’s that tweet;

He even shared the screenshot and wrote, “Cancelled @Olacabs Booking because Driver was Muslim. I don’t want to give my money to Jihadi People.”

Since he received immense flak for his statement, he justified himself and wrote another tweet;

“Cancelled @Olacabs Booking because Driver was Muslim. I don’t want to give my money to Jihadi People.”

The tweet read,

“People starts attack on me. Can I have no right to choose ? If they can run a campaign against Hanuman ji poster on cab, defamed Hindus and Hindus god in Kathua incident then they must be prepared for reply.”

Seeing this, Ola hit back with the perfect response. Here’s what the company tweeted;

The tweet read “Ola, like our country, is a secular platform, and we don’t discriminate our driver partners or customers basis their caste, religion, gender or creed. We urge all our customers and driver partners to treat each other with respect at all times.”

What a brilliant reply by Ola. People should really follow this at all times and stop discriminating on the basis of religion. Don’t you think so?
