In a shocking and sad incident, Amit Sahani (25) committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan after he got to know that his wife gave birth to a baby girl and not a boy. He was a crane operator by profession and it was on Wednesday that he took the most unimaginable step, leaving all his family members in a state of utter shock and pain.
As per police sources, Sahani was so disheartened by the birth of a girl child that just within a day of it, he took his life. Nevertheless, cops are investing the matter further to know the actual cause of his demise.
When his body had been shifted to New Civil Hospital, the postmortem report suggested that the reason of his death is hanging. He made use of a sari for this purpose when there was no one in the home. On Tuesday, his wife gave birth to a girl in the same hospital and all members of the family were with her.

He was at work place at the time when his wife had labour pain and had been admitted on Tuesday. Subsequent to delivery, the man reached the hospital and was with wife till his family asked him to take rest and go home. Later, it was revealed that on finding nobody in the home, he took his life.
Just a year ago, he tied knot with Pooja and after a baby girl, this extreme step on his part ruined her entire life.
