It seems Kapil Sharma’s jolly days are about to come to a halt now as Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation are all set to take legal action against him and Irrfan Khan for illegal construction in Oshiwara. The case is regarding the DLH enclave, where Kapil and Irrfan both own an apartment. As per the details, Kapil and Irrfan both modified their respective apartments thus breaking the permission granted by the Municipal Corporation for the apartment to the builder. It is also said that the developer helped them in doing so.

It is also revealed that large scale violations were found during investigations and thus a charge sheet will be submitted before the Court for the same. The case will be looked up under the Oshiwara Police Station. In an official statement given by a police officer from the Oshiwara Police Station, the officer said,

“It has been found that the accused carried out alterations after the apartments were purchased, and the developer helped them in such renovations.”

It was also confirmed that the investigations are well and truly over and now it was time for the police to take some action against the accused.

Kapil Sharma has been accused of altering his apartment’s walls to enlarge his rooms. In another statement, the police officer added,

“In the original building plan, the kitchen was next to the entrance of the apartment. However, we found it next to a bedroom, which itself was made bigger by pulling down a wall. A major portion of refuge area too was taken over.”

It all started back last year when Kapil Sharma had a blast at BMC alleging that he was asked for a bribe of Rs. 5,00,00 to get the construction work of his office sanctioned. His allegations however later backfired and it was revealed that Kapil’s office was illegally constructed and thus the Comedian offered the bribe to get the issue settled.

A total of 15 flats in the Goregaon high-rise have been found to violate the laws by BMC. Irrfan Khan too is being involved as he too owns an apartment in the DLH Enclave that has been modified. Alternations were carried out even after full occupation certificate was issued by the P-South ward office in November 2013. An FIR has been filed by the Oshiwara police last year against the accused under Section 53(7) of the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act.

If the words of BMC are to be believed, Kapil Sharma and Irrfan Khan are surely in for some big trouble. Do let us know what you think about the future course of action against the two celebs in our comments section below.
