MCD And Delhi Govt. Increased Labourer’s Salary To Rs. 100000/Year

After a long battle, MCD and Delhi government are on the road to finding solutions of the problems that brought both of them face to face against each other. An important issues was the demand of increment in the salary of labourers, both skilled and unskilled.

Skilled labour will now earn Rs.423 on a daily basis which comes to the monthly amount of Rs.10, 998 while salary of unskilled labour has been increased to Rs.9, 048/month. The employees at clerical level are also happy as their salary is revised to Rs. 11,986 monthly. The employees at all the level are happy with this revision, as it is the first time that salaries have increased after 2011.

All the revisions have been taken effectively in reference to Minimum Wages Act 1948. Not only this, hike of 11% will prove to be a cause of great relief on the part of workers.
