Roshni Misbah is just 22 years old but she has become famous from something which is quite unusual for an Indian girl. Roshni is a student of Arab Islamic Culture at the esteemed Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi but her popularity all over the country is the result of her passion to ride motorcycles.
Riding a bike is a desire that many girls may have but Roshni converted her desire into reality when she started riding bike on Delhi streets and people began to call her ‘Hijabi Biker’.
She was just 9 years old when she rode a bike for the first time and at that time also, she wore a hijab. She feels that her passion never obstructs the way of her faith.
Roshni says, “Riding a motorcycle is in my genes.” However, she also accepts the fact that being a woman biker is something unusual and different in India.
She gives her father the credit to encourage her to fulfill her passion and her sister also shares the same passion as her. She is also a member of Delhi unit of ‘The Bikerni’ group. This group encourages ladies to go on trips, be adventurous and spread woman empowerment.
Roshni likes biking a lot as it makes her more independent and relaxed, as she says, “It opens up your mind and perspective.”
Her passion has made her an Internet sensation and Twitter is abuzz with the accolades for the lady!
