You might be knowing few lucky people or have met them in person but today we are going to make you acquaint with someone who is probably the luckiest person on the Earth. He’s Mohammad Basheer Abdul Khadar, a Kerala man of 62 yrs.
You must be wondering why? Well, first of all, he survived the crash of Emirates plane in Dubai which took place a week ago and that too, without a scratch . This indeed was the biggest thing for him until he came to know of winning a lottery of a million dollar few days after the unbelievable escape.
As reported by Gulf News, Mohammad Basheer bought a lottery ticket on Eid when he was going to enjoy a holiday in Thiruvananthapuram with family. He works in Dubai as a fleet administrator with a car dealer group and was habitual of buying a ticket of lottery every time he took a tour to his country. The seventeenth lottery ticket of his life made him a millionaire and this all happened 4 months prior to his retirement which is scheduled in December.
According to Gulf News, Basheer’s ticket no. 0845 had been drawn at Dubai’s international airport’s Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire. This man has already made plans as to what he would do with the prize money.
As per Khadar, he’ll come back to his country, i.e., India after being retired and then look for a job which enables him for helping the needy persons.
Mohammad Basheer stated that he had to struggle to medically treat his 21-yrs son who was paralyzed in an unfortunate accident just after 13 days of his birth. In his words, “I had to spend a lot of money on his treatment. Some years back I had to take a loan of Rs 1.8 million for a major surgery for him. I have managed to pay it back.”
As per him, his job helped him to repay the loan as well as in the wedding of his daughter. He further added, “I will continue to work till I can. Nothing else can give you the satisfaction of your hard-earned money.”
