Men Harasses A Model For S*X In Public. No One Came To Her Rescue. Ruthless Mumbai - RVCJ Media

Mumbai is a big city and we are free to assume that people might have bigger hearts. But with times, such notions are also changing as incidents reporting about the inhuman behavior in public comes to the foray. Recently, two men from Haryana came to visit Mumbai, and went blind over the glitz and glamour so much that they almost lost all decency.

Incidentally, a Mumbai based model-Purnima Behl was out for jogging in the morning when two random guys approached her to have one night stand with them. Purnima was over the phone sitting in a bench, when the guys tried to come in close contact with her and even assumed her to be a prostitute and asked her for the rate at which she might agree to have physical contact with them. On such an indecent and shameless behavior of the Haryana men, Purnima got pissed off and finally took the plunge to teach them a lesson.

But what comes as rude shock is the fact that, no one came to her rescue though the place was filled with people all around. “I was shouting loudly for around 10 minutes; the place was crowded with families and other joggers and walkers, but no one came forward to help. I don’t understand the mentality of people here” said the model to a daily newspaper.

After the failed attempt by the men and the courage of Purnima to back off such guys, she followed the perverts in the auto and eventually got one of them Dinesh Yadav, arrested. The other person is missing from the scene thereafter. The accused are boxers from Haryana who had come to Mumbai for a visit. Amit Kumar, the other accused, is still out and open. Dinesh has been charged under Sections 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was produced in a local court after which he was granted bail on Friday, October 23.

Bravo to the Girl, but at the same time it is very shameful for the Mumbaikar’s who were there and yet did not come for her rescue. I guess these are the same people who change their Facebook DP after dire incidents but when it comes to showing the true support they back off miles away.

Anyways, the Culprits must have got a good lesson now. Don’t you think such scenarios is almost the same everywhere? No only Delhi or Mumbai, but almost all the states in India care very less for the security of the women.
