“MI Never Fails To Identify Young Talent,” MI Praised For Buying Saika Ishaque For Rs 10 Lakh

The IPL team Mumbai Indians has given some good cricketers to the national team including the star pacer Jasprit Bumrah. MI has developed the reputation of grooming and nurturing cricketers and transforming them from a raw talent into a polished and trained player.

The same thing MI is doing in the Women’s Premier League as well and many cricket fans along with people from the cricket fraternity are praising the franchise for giving a chance to Saika Ishaque who is currently the purple cap holder in the WPL 2023.

Saika is a left-arm spinner along with being a useful lower-order batter who has the capability to play some big hits in critical situations. MI has won all the three matches played by it in the tournament and Saika has played an important role in these wins as she has taken 9 wickets in 3 matches. Saika Ishaque was bought for just Rs. 10 lakhs by MI and even the English cricketer Kate Cross is highly impressed with the MI spinner.

In the last match of MI which was against Delhi Capitals, Saika once again bowled beautifully and took 3 wickets and helped her team in restricting DC to just 105 in 18 overs. Issy Wong and Hayley Matthews also played important roles in MI’s victory by taking 3-3 wickets each and Harmanpreet Kaur-led side successfully chased the target with 8 wickets in hand and 30 balls remaining in the innings.

Kate Cross feels that Saika Ishaque is the real find of the WPL and it is really good for Harmanpreet Kaur to have bowlers like her.
