Michael Vaughan Hilariously Reacts To Wasim Jaffer Being Appointed As Odisha Head Coach - RVCJ Media

Recently the Odisha Cricket Association appointed Wasim Jaffer as the head coach of the state’s senior team for two seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23). This information was shared by a cricket portal on the micro-blogging site Twitter and Michael Vaughan took it as an opportunity to post a funny tweet in this regard.

Michael Vaughan reacted by asking, “Does he need an assistant?”

The Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli is in England as of now as they are supposed to play 5-match test series against the hosts but the officials of both the teams are quite worried now as the Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has tested COVID-19 positive and he won’t be travelling to Durham where the Indian team will be playing a warm-up match.

Michael Vaughan has also expressed his concern over organizing The Hundred and 5-match test series between India and England. Though the cricket is being played in the bio-bubble environment, some players or staff members have still tested positive for COVID-19. Recently, some player of the England cricket team tested COVID-19 positive because of which a second-string team of England had to play against Pakistan.

Michael Vaughan states that the isolation laws need to be changed otherwise the players will keep on getting infected with COVID-19 just like Rishabh Pant. The former England skipper adds that he is worried not just for The Hundred and the India-England series but also for the Ashes.

This is what Vaughan tweeted, “I fear for the 100 & the Indian Test series unless the isolation laws change .. we are bound to have cases as is the case with @RishabhPant17 .. plus further down the line I fear the Ashes could be hugely affected with players pulling out unless bubbles/quarantine rules change !”

We certainly agree with Michael Vaughan that things need to be addressed in a prompt manner otherwise many other players may test COVID-19 positive.
