You are a common person, belonging to a small city and have done nothing extraordinary to receive a call from none other than the Prime Minister of the country… How would you feel? Naturally, it will be one of the most amazing and memorable moments of your life and you’d wish to cherish it forever, won’t you?
The same happened with this Mirzapur couple who lately had an opportunity to get their wish fulfilled, as PM Narendra Modi himself named their newly born baby girl subsequent to receiving a letter from the mother of the infant.
As per Bharat Singh, father of the toddler, PM Modi called and congratulated him for being blessed with a baby girl. Not only this, he also asked them to fulfill all her dreams and one day, she’ll become their strength.
Here’s what Narendra Modi said,
“Hello, main Narendra Modi bol raha hoon. Aapki patni Vibha Singh ka patra mila, aapko badhai, aapke ghar beti ayi hai. Is bachchi ka naamkaran Vaibhavi karein, isme mata evam pita dono ka naam hai.”
(Hello, I’m Narendra Modi. I received the letter of your wife Vibha Singh. Congratulations, you are blessed with a daughter. Name the girl Vaibhavi, as it contains the names of both the mother and father)
Bharat Singh was, obviously, very pleased as well as shocked after the PM’s call. In his words,
“The phone call from the PM left me in a state of bewilderment for a moment.”
He further said that his daughter is quite lucky to have got name from PM Modi.
The Mirzapur couple is huge fan of the Prime Minister and made up mind of writing to him with a request to name their girl born on 13th August.
According to Bharat,
“After my wife wrote a letter to the PM, I posted it to the PMO the same day through Speed Post.”
When his neighbors didn’t believe the incident to be true, Bharat made a request to an official of PMO on 22nd August for a letter and in turn, he was assured of proper assistance. As a result, a letter was sent to him from PM Modi on 30th August.
Here’s what the letter read:
“Aapke ghar beti ka agaman hua hai. Aapko khoob badhai. Vaibhavi ke sapne aap poore karenge aur Vaibhavi aapki Shakti banegi, aisi shubhkamanayein.”
(Congratulations to you on having a daughter. My best wishes, you fulfil the dreams of Vaibhavi, and she will become your strength.)”
Sounds hard to believe but true <3 How nice it feels when some high official is so down to Earth that he listens to us and fulfills our wishes regardless of whether we can do him any favor or not, unlike many greedy and selfish leaders!
