Mithun Chakraborty is one of the finest and most popular senior actors of the industry and we have seen him doing many memorable roles during his illustrious career but his son Mimoh Chakraborty wasn’t able to make it big in the industry like his father.
Mimoh made his Bollywood debut in 2008 with Raj N Sippy directed “Jimmy” but the movie fell flat on the box-office. Though Mimoh was seen in some other movies as well, yet he failed in impressing the audiences and soon he got disappeared from the industry. Mimoh has made a comeback in the industry with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma starrer “Jogira Sara Ra Ra” and people are loving his performance.
In a recent interview, Mimoh has opened up about his friendship with other star kids and he shows no hesitation in accepting that he is sometimes jealous of them. While Mithun Chakraborty shares a good friendship with Amitabh Bachchan and many other actors of his times, Mimoh is not friends with star kids despite being a star kid because he used to live in Ooty in his childhood and youth days. Mimoh said that he never had an interaction with star kids, he had met Ranbir Kapoor just once during an award function. Mimoh said that Ranbir was performing at that award function and the “Brahmastra” actor greeted him (Mimoh) when he (Ranbir) was passing by.
Mimoh’s idol is Hrithik Roshan and the “Jimmy” actor states that he is in Bollywood just because of Hrithik but he hasn’t met his idol despite being in Mumbai for the last 15 years. Mimoh stated that he had met Rakesh Roshan (Hrithik’s father) once and told the “Krrish” director that he is a huge fan of his son and it his dream to meet Hrithik. However, Mimoh also said that he didn’t pursue Rakesh Roshan for meeting his son because he didn’t want to give an impression that he is desperate.
Talking about his interaction with Abhishek Bachchan, Mimoh recalled the time when he along with his father went to meet Amitabh Bachchan who was in hospital at that time and got to meet Abhishek as he was also there. Mimoh said that Abhishek was one of the most sought after actors at that time and he gave advice to Mimoh which the “Haunted” actor still remembers. Mimoh said that Abhishek advised him no matter how many times he is pushed down but he needs to get up and show the world who he is.
Mimoh further said that when he was making his debut, other actors Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, etc. were also starting their career in the industry but now they all are way ahead of him. He accepts that sometimes he gets jealous of them as he is also a human. He says that he wishes good for all of them and understands that nothing works when destiny has other plans.
