For the first time PM Narendra Modi has spoken on Dadri incident, cancellation of Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali’s program and termed them as “unfortunate” but he also made it clear that his government has nothing to do with these incidents. He alleged that opposition parties are polarizing the issues and are involved in pseudo secularism.

In an interview to Bengali daily Ananda Bazar Patrika, PM Modi said, “The Dadri incident or opposition to Pakistani singer is undesirable and unfortunate. But what is the central government’s relation with these incidents.”

PM Modi further added, “The BJP and the government at the Centre do not support such incidents. The BJP has always been against fake secularism. The opposition is playing politics of polarization and they see minorities as vote banks.”

In Bishada village, Dadri a person named Mohammad Akhlaq was beaten to death by an angry mob, on the suspicion that he and his family killed a cow and consumed cow meat. This incident shook the whole nation and people expressed their anger and fury through social media networks also.

Many famous authors have returned their awards in protest to the incidents of communal violence in the country.

Last week, Central Government has given instructions to all the state governments to take strict action against those who try to disturb communal harmony by inciting the religious sentiments of the people.
