Pakistan defeated England by 8 wickets yesterday; however, people never expected that England would lose this way. Post the match, the Captain of England Eoin Morgan said that the team couldn’t adapt to the condition of the pitch.
According to Morgan, England lost because of the used pitch. He said,
“One thing we didn’t do was adapt to conditions, coming from Edgbaston to a used wicket, Pakistan did that well and played better.”
Do you think the team actually lost due to used pitch? Well, the comment didn’t go down well with Waqar Younis. He took to Twitter and slammed Morgan for his words.
Waqar said that Eoin Morgan was just giving an excuse. He tweeted,
