‘Madaari’, the Irrfan Khan starrer has been struggling a lot with its release dates. Yes, initially, the movie was to be released on the 10th of June along with Te3n, but due to some delays the dates were pushed to the 15th of July. Now, once again, there are reports that the release dates are pushed to the 22nd of July. Yes, you heard it right! But don’t think that it is due to ‘Sultan’.
The actual reason of the release date being pushed to 22nd July is due to ‘Great Grand Masti’, the Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh starrer. Now, it seems that the ‘Grand Masti’ makers don’t want a clash and hence they requested Madaari’s distributor, Vashu Bhagnani to push the release ahead.
However, Bhagnani says that “The industry is one big family and we all operate for and with each other. Madaari will now hit theatres on July 22, while ‘Great Grand Masti’ will come on July 15,”
Indra Kumar, the director of ‘Great Grand Masti’ says that “We’re touched by Vashuji’s gesture of moving his film ahead by a week on our request. The industry continues to stand thick as one body owing to such veteran producers,”
