One of the biggest sporting events of the world ended yesterday as MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings won the IPL 2023 after defeating Gujarat Titans in the final match of the tournament which was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Both the teams fought well in the ultimate contest of cricket and the nail-biting encounter kept everyone on the edge of their seats as there were moments when GT seemed to be in a strong position and sometimes CSK appeared to be inching towards victory.
Other than winning the IPL 2023, one more good thing also happened for CSK and it was the end of the rumours that there is a rift between skipper MS Dhoni and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Though both the players share a good camaraderie yet after the match against Delhi Capitals which was played on 20 May, they both had a heated discussion and many felt that Dhoni was a little angry as Jadeja conceded 50 runs in 4 overs and took only one wicket.
After that, Ravindra Jadeja made a cryptic post; he shared a poster reading, “Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will” and he captioned it with, “Definitely”. Things turned more complicated when Jadeja’s wife reacted with comment, “Follow your own path…”
However, what Ravindra Jadeja did after the match put all the rumours to rest. CSK needed 13 runs to win in the last over but GT bowler Mohit Sharma was quite superb as he gave only 3 runs in the first four balls. On the second last delivery of the innings, Jadeja brought CSK back in the chase by hitting a six and then he made his team win the match by hitting a four on the last ball of the innings.

After hitting the four, Jadeja straight ran towards his captain and hugged him, Mahi also returned the gesture by lifting up the all-rounder in his arms.
