“Mubarakan” starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz hit theatres this Friday and taking into account the fact that it’s Anees Bazmee’s film, there is no surprise that it had ‘marriage’ as the central theme.
Indisputably, Anees has taken up this theme in many of his movies, such as “Singh Is Kinng”, “Welcome”, “Thank You”, “Ready”, “No Problem” and “Welcome Back”. All these movies were liked by audiences and at this point, we are absolutely not amazed to find “Mubarakan” showcasing this central idea.
Talking of the first day collections of “Mubarakan”, the movie had a slow start and it could earn just Rs. 5.25 crore on its opening day!

It’s very necessary for the film to do good business in the first weekend to earn profits, as such a slow start was not expected from it.
Anil Kapoor is a versatile actor plus the best as well as the most experienced one as far as the star cast of “Mubarakan” is concerned. He easily outshines Arjun Kapoor who has made efforts of playing his roles well (yes, Arjun has a double role in the movie) but ironically, it took only one Anil Kapoor to surpass two Arjuns. Talking of the actresses Ileana and Athiya, they were good, as not much was expected from the female cast of “Mubarakan”. It’s a comedy movie which can be enjoyed with family but don’t go to theatres with the expectations of laughing out loud, though it will definitely make you laugh occasionally.
Well, it will be interesting to see whether the flick attracts audiences to cinema halls and succeeds in making good collections in the first weekend or not! What do you think? Have you watched “Mubarakan”? Do share your feedback about the film with us!
