Muslims To Offer Eid Prayers Wearing A Black Arm Band! Reason Will Make You Support Them!

Human Lynchings have now become a normalcy in India. From the small town of Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to the compartment of a local train in Haryana, the characters changed but the story remained the same. In almost every story, the ones affected were minorities, the ones attacking were from the majority and the reason for lynching remained somehow attached to ‘Nationalism’ or ‘Beef’.

The lynching of a 16-year-old Junaid by a bunch of Hindu men in a local train has triggered the Muslim community of India. An argument over a train seat took an ugly turn and became a religious fight. Junaid, along with his two brothers, were abused, had their beards pulled, and ultimately were stabbed and left reeling in a pool of blood. The normal shouts of ‘Beef-Eaters’, ‘Anti-Nationals’, and ‘Mullas’ were hurled at the three brothers constantly. While Junaid succumbed to his injuries on the spot, his two brothers are fighting for life in a hospital. All this has become too much to handle for the Indian Muslims as they’ve decided to stand up in protest against the atrocities faced by them off late.

A few Muslim groups and individuals have urged Muslims all over the country on the social media to offer the Eid Namaz tomorrow with a black arm band. From Imran Pratapgarhi to Rana Ayyub, everyone has urged the Muslim community to silently protest against the inhuman acts going on against them. Here are a few of their posts.

As per the report in BBC Hindi, Mehdi Hasan Qasmi, a Muslim social-activist, has confirmed that offering Namaz with a black armband is not wrong. He also stated that he asked for a written Fatwa from the Darul Uloom Deoband but failed to get one.

Not just in India, Muslims from other countries who celebrated Eid on Sunday too offered Namaz with a black armband to support the protest.

Is it just a matter of coincidence that all these lynchings took place only after the BJP government came to power? Probably no! With our judiciary hardly punishing anyone involved in the lynchings, a feeling of certain insecurity has gripped the Muslim community of India completely.

This noble way of protest is certainly not a bad option from them to counter all the atrocities. We hope that the judiciary intervenes at the earliest and stops all the nuisance that is destroying the beautiful religious harmony of our country.
