The Myntra app went crazy on Thursday, as it kept spamming the phones of users with too many messages and notifications. Yes, in case of some users, the numbers reached 5,000 in a day! Can you believe it?
These messages included shipping alerts and order confirmations for things users hadn’t even ordered. Later, when the company was informed about this problem, it acknowledged the issue and extended apology for inconvenience caused to users. Myntra stated that there was some technical glitch due to which this problem occurred. Further it added that they are working on a solution and would resolve it in next few hours. This is what Myntra tweeted!
@sandyprabhakarHey Sorry ! It is due to technical glitch you might have received multiple notifications or messages. Please ignore the same.

And one more apology!
We're facing some tech issues with our apps, leading to unexpected notifications. Please bear with us while we fix this.

However, users were quite infuriated over the app spamming their phones. Many angry users took to Twitter to express their frustration!
