Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrrer “Kalki 2898 AD” which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in important roles has shattered many records at the box-office and the movie is also getting praised a lot by the critics. “Kalki 2898 AD” got released on 27 June and it has earned more than Rs. 1000 crores till now worldwide.
The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and many celebs such as SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, Dulquer Salman, etc. have also made guest appearances in the film.
During an interview, Nag Ashwin stated that he had to convince Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma to become a part of the movie and he is really thankful to them that they agreed.
He further said that the four main actors of “Kalki 2898 AD” are on the wishlist of every person. He added that Amitabh Bachchan who is one of the biggest stars of the country was his only choice for the role of Ashwatthama, the warrior from Mahabharata. Ashwin further said that Amitabh’s character was supposed to be 8-feet tall because of the divine blessings that he had received and the fight scene between Amitabh and Prabhas was a dream for them to pull off.
Earlier, Nag Ashwin has called Deepika Padukone’s character the most important character of the movie because if that character is removed, there will be no movie as there will be no Kalki.
