The drought situation in India is becoming worst and based on this, the Bombay High Court had taken the decision that there wouldn’t be any matches after 30th of April in Maharashtra.
Now, Nana Patekar, who had helped farmers financially has lashed out at the government with regards to this. The actor stated that shifting matches wouldn’t solve the issue. As long as maintenance of pitches is carried out, there would be wastage of water. He also accused CM Devendra Fadnavis for just creating a media buzz and not finding any solution.

He also quoted “Just because people are supplied water irregularly now, they have began speaking about drought. When farmers come to cities, don’t treat them like beggars. They are being forced to migrate for survival.”

Nana added that we have failed the farmers and also criticized politicians since they don’t chalk out long terms plans for areas like Aurangabad, Latur, Osmanabad and Marathwada, that are most hit ones.
