The England cricket team has performed quite well in the test matches after Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes have taken up the posts of head coach and skipper, respectively. Though England has not been able to make its way in the finals of the World Test Championship 2021-23, still its new approach towards the game has made its fans happy.
Currently, the English cricket team is in New Zealand where it is playing 2-match test series and as of now, it is leading by 1-0 after 267-run victory in the first test match which was played at Bay Oval. Both the teams will clash against each other in the second test match that will be played at Basin Reserve from tomorrow.
The former England cricketer Nasser Hussain spoke about his country’s team and as per him, the biggest test of the English cricket team will be against India in India. The Indian cricket team is currently playing 4-match test series against Australia at home and it has won the first two test matches comfortably.
England and Australia will be playing against each other in the Ashes 2023 which is going to start from 16 June 2023 but Nasser Hussain feels that as the Aussies haven’t won in England since 2001, the English cricket team’s biggest test will be in India. Nasser Hussain further says that the Ashes will be close but a lot will depend on Australia’s batting line-up, though the Aussie batters have performed poorly away from home yet if they play well in England, the contest will be tough.
Nasser Hussain further praises Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes for bringing out the team from the critical phase which they faced because of COVID and rotation policy.
The Indian Twitterati reacted on Nasser Hussain’s statement of England’s biggest test will be away in India:

The brand of cricket that England plays – aggressive and attaching – they are the only ones who can stop India’s juggernaut at home series . @BCCI should be worries and start planning .

Looking at England Approch in Tests. That series will be equally challenging for India

It will also be India’s greatest test, maybe after playing Eng in Eng.
— Abhik (@A_B_D_2018) February 20, 2023
It's not a challenge..with these decks Eng will lose the series if not all matches..but then it won't make them any bad team either…it's alws abt putting up a good show n win people…winning matches is such commonplace these days 😉
