Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the self-made and very popular stars of Bollywood who have proved that you really don’t need a filmy background or a godfather to survive in the industry. He enjoys a huge fan following, thanks to his amazing acting skills and sheer brilliancy which is certainly second to none. He has made his own mark and sky is the limit for him.
Besides being an awesome actor, he is also known for his outspokenness, as he never minces his words and bluntly expresses his views over any matter. In fact, his fans just love him for this! He is real and believes in calling a spade a spade, contrary to be fake like few other celebs.
In recent times, Nawazuddin was asked to express his opinion over moving to Hollywood and you would be surprised as well as happy to know what he said.
As per him, he is not going to Hollywood and the latter should come to him if the western filmmakers need his talent. He told Deccan Chronicle,
“I shall never go to the West just to seek work. If at all Hollywood filmmakers feel I am capable enough to perform exuberantly on the Hollywood silver screen, then it’s they who need to approach me for work.”
Nawazuddin also slams his contemporaries who think Hollywood is bigger than Bollywood and move there even for the smallest roles. In his words,
“Our own peers from Bollywood in comparison feel our films are much smaller than Hollywood. They themselves try to push boundaries in order to make themselves available to be working in Hollywood films. No sooner do they get offers for the smallest possible role, their mouth starts watering. I am not only happy about being a part of Bollywood industry but also proud about working in Hollywood. But I am not keen on getting the Hollywood trade mark.”
Usually, celebrities head to Hollywood after achieving big in B-Town but Nawazuddin’s hard-hitting statement is something each celebrity should keep in mind!
