However, it seems that the producers of the film, i.e., Bling Entertainment Solutions Ltd, will have a tough time ahead as the family of Neerja Bhanot has allegedly accused them of breaching the contract. The family members allege that Bling has not kept its promise of sharing 10 percent of the BO collections with the family and Neerja Bhanot Trust. Brother of Neerja, Aneesh Bhanot, told IANS, “I will not comment on this issue at this stage. All I can tell you is that we will not tolerate injustice.”

No information regarding the case is given by Aneesh who says that only the family lawyer will tell the exact details. However, as per the sources, the producers have already been served with a legal notice, as the Bhanot family has made up mind to approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

According to reports, Bling promised to share 10 percent of the total profits made by the film but it failed to do so by a big margin. In the beginning, Bling was producing and distributing the movie on its own but later, Fox Star Studios joined as the co-producer and as a result, the share of Bhanots came down.

The Bhanot family set up Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust using the insurance amount that they were paid after Neerja’s death. This trust works for social causes and also rewards those ladies who have been victims of social injustice.

Let’s just wait and watch what happens now.
