Directed by Ram Madhvani, “Neerja” starring Sonam Kapoor in the lead role released yesterday and it seemed to beat many blockbusters in terms of quality. The movie received immense praises for flawlessly depicting the story of Neerja Bhanot who lost her life while saving 359 lives. Not only India but the whole world salutes this brave lady and her exemplary courage which she showed when Mumbai to New York, Pan Am Flight 73 was hijacked on Sept. 5, 1986.
It would not be wrong to say that “Neerja” is the best movie of Sonam Kapoor so far and has uplifted her career to a great extent. In fact, Sonam too seemed to have done justice significantly with the character of Neerja and tried her lever best to portray it on the screen.
Talking about the first day collection of the movie, it earned a good sum of ₹ 4.70 cr [700 theatres/limited shows] on Friday and this amount is highly expected to zoom upwards on weekend:
