We are living in a modern society, at least we believe so, but some incidents can force us to question ourselves whether we are really in the 21st century or not.
A person in Jharkhand sacrificed a seven months old baby because he felt that this would make the God happy and he and his wife would have a child.
In Seraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand, a person by the name of Bhadoi Kalindi and a tantrik named Karmu Kalindi were taken into custody by the police. Sandeep Bhagat, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Chandil) told that they both were arrested from the Chaida village which comes under the Tiruldih police station.
Bhadoi, who is a snake charmer by profession, didn’t have a child from his marriage of eight years. Hence, on May 26, he along with Karmu kidnapped the baby girl and allegedly sacrificed her. The baby was Bhadoi’s neighbor Subhash Gope’s daughter and she was sacrificed at a cremation ghat situated near the river at Tiruldih, as told by Sandeep Bhagat.
Police got suspicious of Karmu as he was missing after the kidnapping of the baby girl; therefore, cops arrested him and Bhadoi and both of them have accepted their crime. The weapon used for sacrificing the baby has also been recovered by cops from Bhadoi’s house and now cops have started a search operation for the girl’s body.
If we really want to prevent such incidents, then before providing people with free Internet data, we must provide them education so that they can understand that not having a child is a medical problem and you need to visit a doctor, not a tantrik.
