After the Uri attacks, the tension between India and Pakistan reached great heights and now after surgical strikes by India, this tension is about to mount more. This tension between both the countries led to training exercises by their defense forces, however Pakistan is incurring losses in training exercises too.
Omer Shehzad, PAF Flight Lieutenant, was killed when his F-7 crashed in North West region (NWFP). The F-7 crashed near the entry point of Khyber Pass when Omer was taking part in a training exercise. As per the reports from Samaa TV, the reason of this crash was fog.

PAF is investigating the matter to find out more reasons of the crash. Omer has been awarded with “Sword of Honour” posthumously for his wonderful performance in the PAF academy.
However, as per a report going viral on the Internet, a JF 17 has also crashed recently. The newspaper Dawn reported that on Monday, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle of PAF has also crashed near Mianwali while it was on “routine training mission”.

There have been such incidents earlier too, as in May 2015, seven people were killed in a military helicopter crash. These people were going for inspecting a tourism project; the dead also included the ambassadors of Norway and Philippines.
A military helicopter also crashed in Aug 2015; it was used as an air ambulance. It crashed near northern district of Mansehra and 12 people were killed in this incident.
