August 23, 2015 was quite confusing as on this day, a weird incident came to the notice of Indian media and public where a girl named Jasleen Kaur accused a guy Sarvjeet Singh of passing vulgar comments when she was walking down Tilak Nagar Street and for the same, she lodged a case against him.
Initially, the girl was thought to be innocent while the man thoroughly guilty but later on, we got to know that it was actually Sarvjeet who is worthy of people’s sympathy and on the contrary, the girl is at fault and should be punished, as per the facts which have been disclosed by eyewitnesses.
After waiting for 6 long months, Sarvjeet got the first date of hearing of the case, i.e., March 4, 2016 in Mahila Court Tis Hazari. However, surprisingly, he was given the next hearing date, June 7, 2016, without any solid or satisfactory conclusion in the first hearing.
And now once again, the court has given Sarvjeet a new date as the judge is on leave. Even more amazingly, this date is after 5 months, i.e., November 21, 2016. So it’s about 15 months and still no one is assured whether justice will be done on the given date or the case will continue!

Taking into account what’s been done so far with regard to the case, it’s doubtful whether the justice will ever be done or the guy will keep on getting new dates? For how long will a man have to wait to prove that he is innocent? Of course, it’s about his dignity and repute which Jasleen tried to destroy or damage with false allegations and it’s the duty of Indian Judiciary to give the man his reputation back so that he can live a clean life once again!!
