3 releases hit the screens on Friday and all 3 had different genres. Even the budgets of Haseena Parkar, Bhoomi and Newton differ to a great extent. Newton is made on a very low budget while Bhoomi is made on a higher budget.
The collections of Haseena Parkar were not official; however, even Bhoomi and Newton didn’t manage to get impressive numbers. Looks as if people want masala films, which is why they aren’t giving good response to Newton, even though its content is good.
On the other hand, there’s Bhoomi, which has Sanjay Dutt, who returned to the silver screen after years. Still, it failed to impress the audience, thereby suffering from lower numbers. The first weekend is over; let us see how much both the films have collected.

Bhoomi once again failed to show a good growth on Sunday. While the 2nd day collections were 2.47 crores, the 3rd day collections were just 2.76 crores. Not much of a difference at all. Sanjay Dutt has failed to prove his power, don’t you think so?

Day 2- 2.47 crores
Day 3- 2.76 crores
Total- 7.48 crores
Newton!

Newton on the other hand has shown a good growth even on Sunday. The 3rd day collections stand at 3.42 crores, as opposed to 2.52 crores on Saturday. Now, the total of the film has become 6.90 crores, which is super impressive. In the start, we thought the movie will miserably fail since it had earned just 96 lakhs on the first day. Over the weekend it showed a good performance, thanks to the positive word of mouth.

Day 3- 3.42 crores
Total- 6.90 crores
Hope these movies perform well in the coming week. No matter what you say, it’s Newton’s content that has helped it grow.
