Jolly LLB 2 has hit the headlines since a while now. Yes, fans have started questioning about why Akshay replaced Arshad in the sequel.
In Jolly LLB, Arshad Warsi had given an excellent performance and had proved to everyone that he is not only good with supporting roles but also with main roles.
However, many fans are sad as he won’t be seen in the sequel now. On the other hand, Akki fans are extremely happy that he has been chosen for Jolly LLB 2 and are eagerly waiting for the movie to hit the screens. But poor Arshad is very disappointed with this development.
The Jolly LLB actor made a strong statement with regards to this and said that he wanted to be a part of Jolly LLB 2 but since producers preferred a ‘Big Star’ for the sequel in order to make it a hit, they chose Akshay over him. Arshad’s statement read;
“I am not doing it (Jolly LLB 2). Akshay is doing it. I was supposed to do it, but Fox Star Studios needed a bigger star, so they chose Akshay. It makes it easier for marketing; it makes it easier to have a hit. With me, you (the filmmakers) have to make a good film, so that is the problem. You can make money with me only if it’s a very good film!”
Now with this statement of Arshad, everyone was waiting for Akshay Kumar to give his reaction. Some people thought that it would lead to big controversies, but no, the Khiladi seems to be super-cool and has given an equally cool reaction. Akshay says;
“I don’t have anything to say (on Arshad’s comment). Talk to producer. It is the call of the producer. Like I did Welcome and not Welcome Back but I did not feel bad. It was my franchise so should I feel bad? Even Hera Pheri now somebody else is doing,”
