Kangana Ranaut isn’t the one for mincing words. Before accepting the 3rd National Award for Best Actress for her movie Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana gave a rocking interview condemning that everything that was said about her and she didn’t take names. In the middle of this, when people asked her Khan was never needed! What she replied was definitely liberating.
Kangana had stated that in the start she wanted a conventional and easy route where she could be a big heroine by working with big heroes. This usually happens in Bollywood. While working with a superstar, one becomes a superstar and this is case even if one is a newcomer. Kangana says that this just didn’t happen with her. Now, she gets loads of offers for acting with Khans.
She remembers that when she was struggling financially, she asked her dad for support but he was clear that he wouldn’t help. He had stated that if Kangana doesn’t want to go to school, he doesn’t have money for her. Kangana also says “I already have money and he is giving me money. It’s the same thing with the Khans. When I wanted work, nobody was ready to work with me and now that i am my own hero on the sets, why should I work with other hero. Rangoon has three heroes, Saif, Kangana and Shahid.”
