No Other Wife Usually Praises Hubby The Way Twinkle Khanna Did For Akshay Kumar

Twinkle Khanna is quite active on social media, especially Twitter, and often makes headlines for her witty attitude which made even Karan Johar speechless on his own talk show “Koffee With Karan”. Recently, she made a very interesting revelation about her husband and actor Akshay Kumar which his fans would love to know!! According to the actress, despite the fact that Khiladi Kumar doesn’t read books, he is quite smart and intelligent. Not only this, he also possesses a better understanding of individuals. She added that even though she’s well read, it’s Akshay who is street smart. In her words,

“He (Akshay) doesn’t read. I always say you need to read to be smart or successful but he doesn’t read. Despite that, he is really smart. He is smart in a different way than I am. I am probably better read, but he is street smart.”

She further said,

“He is better with numbers than I am. His understanding of people, the way business works, is greater than me. He is extremely confident.”

While speaking at the Times LitFest, Twinkle stated that there is not one particular way to define smartness in the present era and one can find smart as well as “very dumb” persons in Bollywood. Here’s what she said,

“In movie industry, just like any other place, there are some smart people, some very dumb people. I know many smart and dumb people. I would say Aamir Khan is smart.”

Well, reading does have a special place in Twinkle’s life, as she happens to be a writer too. Her two books entitled “Mrs Funnybones” and “The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad” are widely acclaimed. She has also discussed misconceptions individuals generally possess about feminism.

“A lot of people have this misconception about feminism. They feel that feminists are aggressive, man hating women with a little moustache. It’s not true. It’s got a bad rap because probably at the time when feminism came into being, you had to be strident and aggressive because you were facing so much opposition but that’s not the case today. Feminism is about gender equality, not gender neutrality.”

Well said Mrs. Funnybones!
