North Korea has been threatening everyone since long with its new military weapons, but last time people made fun of the country when its missile launch failed. However, one more attempt was made and this time, it was successful.
North Korea launched a ballistic missile yesterday from Kusong, which flew 430 miles and then fell into the sea just 60 miles away from Russia i.e. between East coast of North Korea and Japan. This was its 10th missile test and it happened just a day after South Korea’s new President, Moon Jae-in was elected.
Currently, the specifics of the missile are being tested by the experts; some officials say that it was in air for 30 minutes before it fell into the sea. Tomomi Inada, the Defense Minister of Japan, stated that it was a new kind of missile. However, he further said that it wasn’t an intercontinental one which the US fears, the Kim Jong ruled country is making.
Currently, the missile launch is being assessed by US military and it aims to get some more details about the same. According to some reports,
“The success and range of this latest missile test, if Japan’s early analysis holds up, would heighten fears that Pyongyang is closer than previously thought to the sort of capability that would allow it to strike U.S. bases in the Pacific, like those in Guam.”
Now, this is real threat; just 60 miles away from Russia is dangerous.
A statement from the White House read,
“North Korea had been a flagrant menace for far too long. The test serves as a call for all nations to implement far stronger sanctions.”
It is said that North Korea is already developing a missile with nuclear weapon that can reach the US; let’s see what action Donald Trump takes.
