Not Rajinikanth But This Megastar Was The First Choice Of Director For Lead Role In “Jailer” - RVCJ Media

This information was revealed by a company Ayngaran International on its official X account. The tweet read, “And the record-breaking continues, We are proud to announce that #Jailer has grossed the highest collection in Malaysia among all Indian films by a HUGE margin. A never before in history moment”

“Jailer” is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and it also starred Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Tamanaah Bhatia and others in important roles.

While fans of Rajinikanth are pretty happy after seeing the superstar delivering a hit at the box-office, you will be surprised to know that Rajinikanth was not the first choice for this role.

Yes, you read that right! Before talking to Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar contacted megastar Chiranjeevi for this role but he was not much interested because there were no songs in the movie which is a must in a movie of Chiranjeevi. However, Chiranjeevi didn’t reject “Jailer” outright, he told the director to wait a little but Nelson decided to make the movie with Rajinikanth and his decision has been proved completely correct.

As per the reports, Nelson Dilipkumar is thinking of making a sequel of “Jailer” and he also wishes to rope in Vijay for that movie.
