Now You Will Have To Eat Your Passwords In Tablets And Capsules To Keep Them Secure, Says PayPal - RVCJ Media

PayPal is working on a range of biometric solutions, such as vein recognition, ingestible devices and computer chip tattoos that could replace as a means of identification.

Jonathan LeBlanc, developer advocacy’s global head of PayPal has come up with solution via the presentation referred to as “Kill all passwords”. According to him, passwords that people are using these days are very weak and easy to hack. Le Blanc says that instead of using a series of keys for the password, it can be replaced with edible keys that can be eaten or implanted.

Security experts have long been facing system hacks due to weak passwords, which means strangers can get access to your system and you can get locked out of your own system. Though biometric solutions like eye scans can fix them, LeBlanc says that it would be much better if we integrate our passwords within our body.

This new technology could be embedded in pills that would be eaten and then activated by our stomach acid. They would detect the chemical reaction that occurs in the stomach of a person and decide if they should be allowed access.

PayPal is partnering with companies to develop such technology including vein and heart beat analysis, LeBlanc told the Wall Street Journal. Not only this, it’s working on several other technologies too in the company of developers at 24-hour hackathons.
