As per the German documentary, which is capturing the life of Heath Ledger, has surfaced the diary of the legendary actor and discloses the difficult and hard-hitting things he did to get into the character and give us the favorite villain of all time and simultaneously win an Oscar for the same. The German documentary – Too Young To Die – maintains that it was the deadly obsession of Ledger with the negative character that led him to overdose of painkiller and eventually killed him on 22nd January, 2008 at a mere age of 28.

It is also been showed that Heath Ledger would lock himself in a room for months to prepare for the character.

“So, this is the diary — he pretty well locked himself up in a hotel room for a month or so to galvanize the upcoming character in his own mind,” his father, Keith, explains.

“That was typical of Heath on any movie, he would certainly immerse himself in the character and I think this was just a whole new level.” narrates his father in the teaser of the documentary.

Moreover, an excerpt from 2007 interview of Heath Ledger on Empire States, confessed – “I sat around in a hotel room in London for about a month, locked myself away, formed a little diary and experimented with voices – it was important to try to find a somewhat iconic voice and laugh. I ended up landing more in the realm of a psychopath – someone with very little to no conscience towards his acts. He’s just an absolute sociopath, a cold-blooded, mass-murdering clown.”
