SRK’s Movie ‘FAN’ that was released last month received a critical acclaim and his performance was just loved by the fans. However, now a fact has come to light where a legal notice has been slapped by a Delhi based sweet shop owner to SRK and the producers for using its brand name without seeking permission in advance.
The movie shows SRK carrying a sweet box in the movie while visiting Mumbai for meeting Aryan Khanna, the superstar. The sweet box name shows ‘Ghantewala’. Now, Sushant Jain, the owner of the sweet shop has slapped a legal notice to writers Sharat Katariya and Habib Faisal, director Maneesh Sharma, Aditya Chopra, SRK and Yash Raj Films.
Now, the owner wishes the makers to remove that dialogue and scene which infringe the trademark of the shop. One of the statement in the notice is “Our client is perhaps a one-of-a-kind business that has, over the past more than 225 years of its existence, witnessed history unfold before itself and has been instrumental in its own way in shaping it”.
The notice also says that the brand name was used by the maker without seeking permission for the same.
