Deepika or Anushka? Whom would you like to see opposite SRK in his next movie? Yes, this is a difficult question as both actresses are too good and when paired with SRK, there is a different chemistry altogether, which fans just love to watch.
However, it seems Imtiaz Ali prefers Anushka Sharma over Deepika. There are reports that Imtiaz has cast Anushka Sharma in his upcoming movie, opposite SRK. Rajeev Masand, the film critic, states that Deepika too was considered for this role.
The director didn’t want to repeat Ms. Padukone as he had already worked with her in ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Imtiaz felt Deepika has already starred opposite SRK in many movies and their pair would look bit outdated.
On the other hand, he preferred Anushka Sharma because she has done very less movies with SRK and their chemistry would look quite fresh on screen.
However if this is the reason, then it is a bit unfair as Deepika Padukone has done just 1 extra movie with SRK in comparison with Anushka. Deepika’s movies with SRK include ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Chennai Express’ while Anushka’s movies with King Khan include ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
