Presently, the ban on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is the talk of the town. Yes, the Cinema Owners Association took the decision of banning this Karan Johar movie, since it has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in it. Many B-town celebs supported this ban, but there were some who slammed it.
Yes we are talking about Om Puri, Piyush Mishra and Vikram Bhatt. They are of the opinion that the movies that are all set to be released shouldn’t be stalled. Not only for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, there are problems for SRK starrer ‘Raees’ as well, since it stars Mahira Khan.
Vikram Bhatt said that
“When you have decided that you won’t work with Pak talent it should apply from now on, it can’t be on something that has been already done in the past when the relationship was not this hard. I don’t think it is right for one producer to pay the price of this decision,”
On the other hand, Piyush Mishra says that banning Pakistani actors is one thing, but hampering the movies that are all set to be released is completely wrong. He says that this ban shouldn’t happen.
Om Puri had already been slammed on social media for disrespecting the martyrs. Now, once again he has spoken against this ban.
Om Puri says
“Our relations have not been good but the main cause has started after Uri attacks only. I agree that we should not shoot with Pakistani artistes from now on, but the movie which has already been shot should not be stalled from the release as the film is produced by an Indian only. He has invested a lot of money in that.”
Further the actor says, that to avoid losses, Bollywood producers must move to court against this ban. I am sure, he will once again be slammed on social media for his statement.
