Former Bigg Boss contestant Om Swami often makes news but for all the wrong reasons. From his cheap antics on the reality show to all the displeasing remarks he made afterwards, the self-proclaimed godman seems to be the new controversy king. What could be more disgraceful than being thrashed in public but amazingly, Swami seems to be used to of it now! In fact, it appears that he has made up mind of not learning from his previous mistakes! He has often minced his words and for the same, had to suffer unfavorable outcome. Well, now it looks that he actually enjoys it or rather wishes to do just any controversial thing to be in limelight.
Once again, he has been beaten by angry mob when he spoke against the SC’s decision regarding triple talaq.
On one hand where there are a number of people who are welcoming this revolutionary verdict, there’s this godman on the other who is leaving no stone unturned to show his opposition with full might.
As we all know, the decision regarding triple talaq is made by a bench of five members of the SC and this practice has been declared as unconstitutional by the court.
It looks as if this verdict was unlikable on the part of Om Swami and as a result, he started protesting against it outside the SC with his followers. He did not want Deepak Mishra to become the next Chief Justice of India and as per him, the verdict on triple talaq is “illegal, sinful and retrograde”. He is of the opinion that the case is about a specific religion and it’s the right of merely people practicing that religion to make a decision over anything related to it. The godman further feels that this judgment is a threat to independence of men and at the same time, it gives women more liberty. As Swami began to protest outside the court, mob got furious and thrashed him.
