OMG! This Indian Man Bought Google.Com For Just Rs. 788

What if, we tell you that the biggest search engine Google.com has been bought by an Indian? Well, you must be shocked and surprised but how this can happen is the bigger question.. Sanmay Ved actually bought Google.com, well almost, when he was looking for domain names on Google Domains. When Sanmay was surfing Google Domains, which is the Google’s website buying service, he saw that Google.com was open for purchase. In the beginning, Sanmay thought that it must have been purchased by someone else or it must be a technical fault, yet he took the decision of purchasing it.

Undoubtedly, it was the best day of Sanmay’s life, till date as his purchasing transaction went smoothly and he bought Google.com for just $12 or Rs.788. Usually, a person who buys a domain gets an email “You bought a domain” but Sanmay was swamped with messages of Google.com domain owner and he also started getting emails with the internal news. Obviously, this got Sanmay panicked and took the screenshots and described his experience on his LinkedIn Profile.

Sanmay being an ex-employee of Google, reported the whole incident to security team of Google and in just a minute all the transactions were cancelled and his $12 were paid back to him. Sanmay will definitely remember this incident for life long and for Google it will be something they will want never to happen again.
