With time, social media has acquired more strength and might than ever. It has the power to do just anything if used for good purposes, be it spreading joy and pleasure, earning a huge sum of money, improving relations with the ones who are far away or making lives better!!
Nevertheless, every coin has two sides and so is with social media. If it’s good, it can be proved evil too and has the potential to ruin the whole lot; from trolling to cheating to making a company lose more than £400million; yes, that’s true!!
Tesla Motors’ CEO, co-founder and product architect, Elon Musk tweeted this:
It was rumored that Samsung SDI, a firm in association with Samsung which manufactures displays and batteries, had been working with the company of Musk, i.e., Tesla, and was to make batteries for forthcoming Model 3 electric car.
But after Musk’s tweet, stock of Samsung SDI dropped by 8%, resulting in the loss of £400 million or $580 million on the part of Samsung SDI.
Meanwhile, Panasonic added around £550 million or $800 million alternatively. Bloomberg has discovered that Samsung may, even now, be working with Musk’s company on energy products and probably another tweet could sort the losses!!
