Starting from slapping the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali literally, burning the sets and posters of the film, the group has sent back to back threats to the makers.

Now the problems for Padmavati makers seem to have doubled up as the opposition has got a new support. If the resistance from Karni Sena was any less, Padmavati makers have received new threats from another Rajput body named as Jai Rajputana Sangh.

As per the reports, the members of Jai Rajputana Sangh have put a demand in front of Padmavati makers to specially screen the film for them before release. They want to watch the film and check if there’s anything objectionable before it gets released for public viewing.

As per HT, the members of a Rajput outfit have said that if Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati is released without being pre-screened to Rajput organisations, they will burn cinema halls and multiplexes screening it.

Bhanwar Singh Reta, founder of Jai Rajputana Sangh was quoted as saying-

“Our demand is that the filmmakers screen it to a panel of representatives from various Rajput organizations. We will only give them a go-ahead to release the film after we are satisfied that no scene insults queen Padmavati,”

Members of the Jai Rajputana Sangh on Saturday met the management of several cinema halls and multiplexes in Jaipur and warned them against screening the film.

Bhanwar Singh Reta added-

“We won’t tolerate any distortion of history and if any romantic relationship is shown between queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, we will burn cinema halls screening the film,”

Flaunting the power of his group, Bhanwar Singh Reta who holds an MBA degree and is the head of 2.65 lakh members said-

“Our members are trained in handling a large array of weapons ranging from swords to AK 47 guns. We won’t let anyone dishonour Padmavati and insult the people of Rajasthan.”

Sharing more details he said that warning letters have also been sent to cinema halls outside Rajasthan in states such as Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. He also stated that around 200 cinema halls in Rajasthan have been sent the warning letter.

Earlier, Union Information and Broadcasting minister Smriti Irani had ensured that the film will release without any problem. The group also condemned her statement and burnt her sculpture.
