Marvadi is sentenced imprisonment by a special court for a period of six months because he used to mix toilet cleaner in food. A case was registered against him for adulteration by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in the year 2009.

The corporation received complaints quite often from Lal Darwaja people who were doubtful that Marvadi added some unwanted thing to the water of panipuri.

Not only this, they went on to say that he threw the remaining water on roads which were not in a good condition and the water further augmented the problems of people.

When food samples were sent to the state laboratory for testing, the results were damn shocking, as it was found that they contained oxalic acid, usually utilized in toilet cleaners.

As a result, a case had been registered against Marvadi and after 7 years, the verdict came. He was found guilty by the special court which sentenced the vendor imprisonment of six months.

Marvadi kept on alleging about the lack of proof for proving him culpable, adding that he should be freed; nevertheless, Manoj Khandhar, special advocate, claimed that the vendor had committed a big crime which was hazardous for the health of people and for the same, must be punished.
